Trail Reservation
Permits are required to hike the trail. Only 60 people are allowed to start the hike each day so it's wise to make a reservation, especially during the busy summer months.
To reserve, call 1-800-435-5622 (Canada/U.S) or 250-387-1642 (worldwide) open between 7am-7pm pst.
Before you call make sure you have:
- the date you want to begin your hike
- trailhead where you intend to start -- Pachena Bay/Bamfield (north) or Gordon River/Port Renfrew (south)
- mailing address of group leader
- number of hikers in your group
- visa or mastercard, cost to reserve is about $150/hiker
Getting to/from Trailheads
Assuming you'll be starting your adventure from Victoria, the West Coast Trail Express bus is the easiest option.
Victoria - Gordon River, 2.5hrs
Pachena Bay/Bamfield - Nanaimo - Victoria, 4hrs
